Long story short, a bunch of my colleague&#8217;s here in Boulder and beyond are dumbfounded, wondering <a href="http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2008/jul/13/body-idd-missing-webroot-founder/">what on Earth happened to this brilliant man</a>, whom also happened to be a great human being.  </p>
<p>While I&#8217;m sorry to post something on our blog that seemingly has little to do with local video, Steve helped foster an environment so charged with the entrepreneurial spirit that I sometimes wonder if WellcomeMat would have happened without him.  </p>
<p>In any event, the message that I hope people take from this is that &#8220;The Journey&#8221; is really where it&#8217;s at: the present moment.  Accomplishments might just disappear in an instant. RIP Steve Thomas. </p>
